It started with the i pod which changed the way to listen to music. Now Apple brings out the I Pad. Maybe it will do good maybe it wont. Through my short time on this earth I have bought 3 ipods and they all have sucked. Everytime i get one they last for about one year exactly and then they die. It is a coincidence that the warranty lasts for about exactly one year too.
I hope the I pad does well. Instead of wasting so much paper on books if all students could get a i pad we could save the rainforest. It would nice to to have all of your reading material on a book like computer. Its only 500 dollars so it is much cheaper than a mac computer and it does alot of the same applications.
I would be willing to try the i pad out because books are expensive. If the book company could give a discount if you buy an i pad that would definetly intise me to get one. No one likes lugging around 30 lbs of books. But when you read a book on paper it has a certain personal feeling to it. I think you might lose the personal feeling reading stories and articles on the i pad. For Text books I think it will do great and for a frequent traveler i think it is a great gift. I hope the i pad does well and saves trees.
